About Us

SPS Works, engineering team members have formerly worked within maritime industry and prestigious tunnelling projects. Working with or alongside companies like Hutchinson, Forth Ports and DP World, Tommy Gallagher Tunnelling, Tarmac, and Bouygues to name a few.

SPS contractually work within these industries with great esteem. Working on a variety of plant ranging from conveyor and batching systems moving commodity, to rail mounted gantries and post panamax ship to shore cranes.

Having exposure to these industries, SPS are fully conversant with their systems, covering all aspects of mechanical engineering.

SPS have a wealth of experience, covering hydraulics, pneumatic, fabrication and mechanically driven devices.

SPS can assist existing maintenance teams or give full support on projects or services.
We look to support or partner with companies which could mutually benefit both parties.

Design & Consultation

SPS specialise in providing engineering design for applications in which a high level of analytical and problem solving skills are required. SPS works closely with our clients to understand their vexation and will provide a comprehensive solution which will eliminate or alleviate any impacts to operations or services.
 
We will provide detailed designs, stress analysis and simulation reports to obtain greater understanding of component failure and envisage life expectancy.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

We provide comprehensive structural designs, including product development and design optimisation. Using advanced software, we can run real life Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation, reducing prototyping and functional testing.
 
FEA is a software simulation technique, that runs product design through real world scenarios in great scope. This has many benefits over conventional methods, we can see how products behave under conventional and unconventional loading and envisage life expectancy.

Reverse Engineering and Design Adaptation

Project Management & Engineering Solutions

Non-Destructive Testing

We offer inspection and testing services meeting HSE guidelines, and covering LOLER and PUWER Regulations (but not limited to) ranging from site lifting equipment to heavy machinery. We provide non-destructive testing services, either MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) or UT (Ultrasonic Testing).

Labour and Installations

We can provide engineering labour to assist your engineering teams or complete services from design through to implementation.
